And then there’ll be like 4 hours of badminton with Darrel, Mark, Qishan, Benedict, Benjamin, Teck Heng, Ian and some others . .  Should be fun.. It’s been quite a while since my last badminton game.

I love yesterday and today and probably tomorrow. That’d cause I finally get to stay at home! I’ve been out everyday for the past 2 weeks.

Oh yea, I haven’t wrote about it yet huh, during the AFA I bought a tablet.

The Wacom Intuos4 medium tablet.

I love it!

It came with a couple of free softwares but the promotion in AFA added Comic Studio 4 Pro free with it as well.

With that I could make shit like these!

Anime Festival Asia

Yes I know!! Lack of updates!! Bleah I’ve been really busy. There was never a day in which I stay at home for the whole day. I’ve been going out and coming home late all the time. And by then I’d be to tired and crash.

Alright first off, Anime Festival Asia 2009!

In Suntec City.

Went there with a few primary school friends and fortuitously met Lina and Eurika there.

Basically what we did there was . . Compete who can ask the most number of cute girls in anime costumes to take a picture with us.. haha. It was so fun. I only get rejected ONCE!

I wore a Vampire Knight Day Class costume.

The first girl I asked.. When I asked her to take a picture she was like, “What if I say no?” Then she was like, “joking la haha sure thank you".”

   

These girls were giving out bags (as seen below), so I took a chance to ask them for a pic, in which my friend Shaiful (As Setsuna F Seiei) joined in.

Ban Ban

I’d like to talk about this teacher. . . If he’s without a shirt and a tie, he’d almost blend in with the kids in school.

He’s rather new. Only half a year?

Has a round head, and very short hair. Apparently he’s smart, very smart indeed.

He has a trademark action; rubbing his right arm with his left hand and raising his eyebrows.

He likes to do strange things that our miniscule usage of the brain cannot decode as to why he did it. Such as walking 3 hours, from New Town Secondary School to my class’s chalet in Costa Sands resort Sentosa. I bet many of you think that’s crazy. Well he did it.

When offered a fishball, he’d say, “I don’t eat round food”. And we’d ask why. He replied, “because I don’t know where to start.”

He’s really, really, really quiet to the extent which he would just sit there on our barbeque area and not talk at all until someone sparks off a conversation.

And even when we do talk to him and ask him a few questions, he’d beat around the bush, never giving ask a straight answer. He’d even question you back on your own question which make you talk even more. He’s like NASA. Never A Straight Answer. (NASA never disclose any information of their findings in the outer reaches of space)

His name is Mr. Khirsyaban aka Mr. Syaban aka Mr. Ban aka Ban Ban.

After seeing him being so quiet for so long I decided to have a conversation with the guy. Asked him about his decision to choose his job, his personal life, his girlfriend, his view on life, and about Geography stuff like Meteor Showers, Plate Displacements, Alignments of Planets and even 2012.

We asked about his girlfriend several times and he refused to answer much.

So he was like, “How do you even know that I have a girlfriend?”

Then I said, “Dude, that was the first question I asked when you first stepped in our class”

-“Really? I don’t remember. All I’ve heard is you asking me whether I’m a virgin.”

-“Yea and that too… But you did said that you’re not single…. Unless. . hmm. You don’t have a girlfriend and you’re not single.. You’re gay? No wonder la..You have a BOYfriend. You’re a homo!”

He giggled and eventually laughed. But no he isn’t a homo.

I asked again, “You’re so quiet, you’re girlfriend must be the talkative one huh?”

-“You can say that,” He replied.

-“Your girlfriend not fed up meh, if she talk to you then you just smile and raise your eyebrow walao.”

Haha then finally he went on and talk about relationships. He said something like. . In relationship there must be silence, if everyone talks then no one listens. He said like opposites attracts thing. Like how the magnetic poles are only attracted to the opposite ends, the North and South poles of the world and the same goes with us human beings.

After I shared with him the story of my childhood, he shared a bit of his personal life too.

He said that he never lived with his parents till he turned 21. That’s cause’ they were working. He lived with his grandparents. His grandfather is a very stern guy. He would beat his grandchildren and tie them up to a tree if they misbehave. Grandpa also doesn’t believe in music and the arts and doesn’t want his family to do so. And that’s the reason Mr Syaban does not know any songs.

 

Heh, I wish I could share more of our conversation but I need to prepare for tomorrow’s Malay Camp. DJing again. You know it feels awesome when you walk around the school and people will like, “Hey DJ! Wassup?”

So I was browsing through the Career Guidance website when my dad went in my room.

Dad: So what did you get?

Me: Here, you know, all the artistry stuff.. 3D Animator, musician and what have you.

Dad: Now that isn’t very surprising.

*Clicked on 3D animator to see what it says*

Me: Hmm.. *Reads Text* The typical gross starting salary of artists in the Games & Animation sector, such as 3D Animators, is about $2,200 a month. This increases to around $4,500 with 3 to 5 years of experience and $8,500 with 6 or more years of experience. Damn, only 2000 bucks a month? So little?

Dad: Little? That’s a pretty good starting salary.

*clicks on more jobs and found most pay to be around the $2000 margin*

Me: Dude you get like over 10 times more, how could this be good?

Dad: That’s because I’m 42 years old and have 20 years of working experience. You can’t earn this much when you just started. Even graduates from SMU who goes to business starts with that amount. You need to work hard before you’re successful. One day you will realise it and appreciates what I have achieved here.

Me: Hell I’m not gonna wait 30 years before I get a Ferrari!! I’m looking for those $100 000 a month one. *Ignored his talk of achievement*

Dad: Continue dreaming no?

Me: Screw these low paying jobs.

TODAY IS THE DAY!

THE SHOWDOWN BETWEEN VISHNU AND I!

IN FIFA 10!

WITH $50 AT STAKE!

It was best out of 3.

First game:

Real Madrid (Rio) vs Manchester United (Vishnu)

And I won 4-0

As you can see here. I had 22 attempts on goal with 16 on target in contrast with Vishnu’s meager 4 shots and 2 on target. Furthermore, I had 60% of ball possession.

Truthfully, I could’ve beaten him by 10 goals or so according to the statistics if not for my poor finishing and Van Der Sar’s super-heroic saves which left me gagging.

 

2nd game was somewhat better for Vishnu as he managed to score.

It was Chelsea (Rio) vs Manchester United (Vishnu)

Ended up 8-2

CLEARLY on paper, Vishnu played better. He had 9 shots, 7 on target with 1% more possession than the 1st game. However, the result seemed to be more dismal than it was previously.

So we take a look at how many fouls and cards given out.

Looking at the Match Facts, it read that I have NO fouls, yellow or red cards at all. On the other hand, Vishnu had 9 fouls, 3 yellow cards and a devastating red which eliminates any chance of him beating me. He received the red in the 80th minute or so and I’ve scored 3 goals in the space of 10 minutes (game time) after that.

So Vishnu is SAD

Oh yes, thank you Mitchell for giving me a GREAT warm-up, before tomorrow’s FIFA10 match against Vishnu. I have not mention it have I?

Yea I’m broke.. So, what I like to do is trick some idiots to betting with me doing something I am really good at. So yea, I made a bet with Vishnu, for a match of FIFA 10. Whoever wins get 50 bucks from the loser.

I am almost complacent that I will NOT lose. Vishnu had prepared the money and tomorrow is the showdown!!

Seriously though I haven’t got no 50 bucks and if I do lose I have no idea how to pay him . .

This ain’t the way it used to be. Remember sec 2 or even early sec 3? We always meet up everyday after school and play hours of fun football.

I wouldn’t want to disclose the situation but I’m writing what I feel.
